Overview

Why Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe is a connoisseur's safari — wild, uncrowded, and guided by some of the most highly qualified guides on the continent. Here the safari is active: you explore on foot in Mana Pools and by canoe along the Zambezi, getting closer to the wilderness than almost anywhere else in Africa.

From the thunder of Victoria Falls to the vast elephant herds of Hwange, Zimbabwe rewards travellers who want depth, authenticity, and genuine wilderness over crowds.

  • Walking and canoeing safaris of the highest order
  • Victoria Falls — one of the Seven Natural Wonders
  • Hwange's enormous elephant herds
  • Some of Africa's most acclaimed safari guides
  • Low visitor numbers and true wilderness

Best — prime game viewing Good — a fine time to travel Quiet / green season

The dry season (June–October) is prime: thinning bush and shrinking water sources concentrate game, and Mana Pools is at its best. The green season (November–March) brings lush scenery, newborn animals and superb birding, though some walking camps close.
